Christian Fisker has been the Vice President of Planning and Development at Chartwell Retirement Residences since 2005, responsible for creating new seniors housing for the organization across BC, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. In the 1990s Christian was a senior policy advisor to Ontario’s Minister of Long-Term Care during a time when the province was introducing 20,000 new long-term care spaces into the long-term care system. Christian is formerly an academic coordinator of Ryerson University’s gerontology program and part-time faculty at Ryerson’s School of Urban and Regional Planning. Christian is a member of OPPI. Christian has a BAA in Planning from Ryerson, a MA in Geography from the University of Guelph and a PhD in Planning from Aalborg University in Denmark.
