Partner and Co-founder, Sajecki Planning

David Sajecki, Partner and Co-founder of Sajecki Planning, is a professional planner, civil engineer and LEED associated professional. Prior to Sajecki Planning, David was the Director of the Transportation Studio at Brook McIlroy where he worked with teams of designers, planners and engineers in developing progressive transportation and community building solutions to urban challenges.

David was the first Senior Advisor for the Union Pearson Express at Metrolinx, providing strategic and technical advice related to start-up planning and implementation of the service. While at Metrolinx, David also worked in the Policy and Planning Department where he was responsible for comprehensive policy analysis. He has worked, too, as a Development Manager for the Province of British Columbia, overseeing the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects. David has international experience in Malaysia and China and has provided advice to the development community as well as local, provincial, and federal governments on issues relating to development planning, transportation planning, land use planning, and growth management.

David has extensive experience in project management, transportation planning and design, public consultation, policy analysis, and transit system implementation. He has received both a Master’s of Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Engineering) from Queen’s University as well as a diploma in urbanization and the environment from Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
