Project Manager, Strategic Initiatives, Policy & Analysis, City of Toronto

Deanna Chorney is a project manager in the City of Toronto's Strategic Initiatives, Policy & Analysis group.  In her current role she works with a team of housing experts to maintain the City's supply of existing affordable housing and secure new affordable rental and ownership housing.  Over the past few years, she has been leading City Planning's work on getting provincial legislation for inclusionary zoning powers in place and developing a made in Toronto policy framework for inclusionary zoning.  Deanna has spent much of her career working on housing issues, including working with Shelter, Support & Housing Administration on pre-development work for the revitalization of George Street and Seaton House, a large men's shelter in the east downtown.  Deanna has also sat as a volunteer board member with Houselink, a supportive housing provider in Toronto.
