Principal, SHS Consulting

Mylène joined SHS Consulting in 2019 and is the Principal who leads the firm’s affordable housing development team. As such she supports municipal and non-profit housing providers in all aspects of affordable housing renewal and development projects, in the pursuit of providing adequate and dignified housing for all. From conducting feasibility studies, to preparing funding submissions and managing the development of affordable housing projects on behalf of community-based housing providers, her creative approach to and broad knowledge of all aspects of housing projects brings a highly valuable resource to the team.
 
Mylène possesses a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Concordia University in Montreal, together with more than 20 years of diversified experience in facilities management and development.
 
Prior to joining SHS, she served as Director of Building Services at YWCA Hamilton, a local multi-service organization offering a range of support services and housing for developmentally disabled adults, transitional housing for women, trans and non-binary persons, and second stage housing for women and women-led families fleeing violence, among a variety of wrap-around services to the community at large. Her previous 15 years’ experience in all aspect of Corporate and Facilities Services management for the pharmaceutical, academic and non-profit sectors allow for a creative approach to grants administration and a strong foundation in financial and project management.
