Planner, Associate, Dillon Consulting Limited

Merrilees is an urban planner with a graduate degree in urban and regional planning and an HBA in geography and economics, and is an Associate with Dillon Consulting. She has worked on transportation, energy, land use, policy and sustainability projects in Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Saint John and Toronto. Much of Merrilees’ work includes planning and consultation for large energy and transportation environmental assessments (EA). She plays the role of coordinating large EA teams, completing the land use and socio-economic impact components of EAs, managing documents for submission to approval authorities, and managing the consultation programs for EAs. Some of her recent projects include the Waterfront Toronto/City of Toronto Gardiner Expressway Reconfiguration EA, the GTA Project for Enbridge Gas Distribution, the Toronto Port Authority Pedestrian Tunnel EA, the BFI Canada Ridge Landfill EA, the Toronto Port Authority Noise Barriers EA and international Environmental Impact Assessments for energy projects in Tanzania and El Salvador.   
 
Merrilees is currently the Project Coordinator on the Gardiner Expressway East and Lakeshore Boulevard Environmental Assessment.
