Over the past 30 years Collingwood has created loops of trails throughout the community. If the weather co-operates, this approximately 28 km stone dusted and hard surfaced tour will be offered for bicycles. The tour will explore the Town’s approach to active transportation, highlight the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges being faced by the trail system and include a sampling of Collingwood’s different community features and development projects.  The tour will start at the Blue Mountain Village and proceed to Collingwood and back with generally flat topography.

Learning Objectives:
  • Gaining knowledge about the Collingwood trail system and its values as both an active transportation route and recreation amenity.
  • Gaining knowledge about Collingwood’s approach to supporting and improving active transportation.
  • Gaining knowledge about missed opportunities and maintenance challenges.
A maximum of 15 registrants may sign up for this mobile workshop, although if strong interest exists, an additional bike tour opportunity may be possible.
