Alexander “AJ” Wray is a 4A Planning student at the University of Waterloo. Most recently, he worked as a Research Assistant for Dr. Dawn Parker - organizing a symposium and communication materials for the Urban Growth and Change Research Group. In the summer after his first year, AJ did a week-long intensive exchange with the University of Milan in Barcelona about urban design and organic architecture. He then went on to work for the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) for the summer in the Water User and Toxics Reporting Unit. AJ’s first coop after second year was again with the MOECC - this time as an Assistant Project Officer with the Environmental Assessment Services Section. His next coop was with the Region of Waterloo’s Planning Research and Analytics team, working on developing and monitoring indicators for the ION Light Rail Transit system. He currently serves as the university’s Undergraduate Senator for Environment, and the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Students, University of Waterloo.
